Job Purpose


A leading group of airlines is looking for an “Insights & Analytics Manager", to be located in London, or Madrid or Barcelona.



Main Responsibilities


  • To analyse the Supplier Cost performance across the company at the most granular level, identifying trends and key movements.
  • To establish and implement a Supplier Cost framework at the group level that can be used to report to the company Management Committee on the status of Supplier Cost performance across the Group.
  • To work with the Finance teams across the airlines to gather and understand Supplier cost reporting currently in place.
  • To liaise with the airlines Finance teams to reconcile P&L impact of initiatives, align Supplier Cost reporting to the company MC and understand/analyse future risks to the cost base.
  • Build good working relationships with these teams and understand both their short-term goals and longer-term objectives – act as a right business partner across the complete breadth of their activities, assessing the financial impact of decisions being taken and challenging where appropriate.
  • To consistently analyse and benchmark cost performance across the company delivering: intragroup and external benchmarking and identifying opportunities to share best practice.
  • Utilise data to solve key business problems: responsible for providing relevant insights to help the company make the right decisions, address key challenges, and identify new ways to grow.
  • Provide senior leaders and the business with unique insight into the performance and status of the company across all value streams whilst driving a culture of continuous improvement.


Job requisites


  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5-15 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with a wide variety of data sources, including databases and big data platforms, as well as public or private APIs and standard data formats, like JSON, YAML and XML.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau and Power BI will be valuable.
  • The ability to design and implement reporting dashboards that can track key business metrics will be valuable.
  • Knowledge of Finance Operations (P2P, RTR, OTC etc.) would be an advantage.
