JOB TITLE: Insolvency Solicitor
PQE: Nq – 2 years
LOCATION: Cardiff
SALARY: £45-50,000 + Benefits

THE ROLE:.
This leading practice is looking for a solicitor that is about to, or has recently qualified to undertake corporate and personal insolvency to work as part of the cross-office Business Support and Insolvency Team. The role will be based in Cardiff, working closely with the Partner who heads up the team. The team works for a wide range of clients, including insolvency practitioners, high street banks and other lenders, investors, directors, companies and individuals and the successful candidate will be given the opportunity to work closely with them all. The role on offer is a varied one, no two-days are ever the same and the successful candidate will gain plenty of experience of dealing with administration appointments, security reviews, sales of businesses, winding up petitions, bankruptcy petitions, bankruptcy estates, matrimonial home proceedings, transactions at undervalue, preferences and recovering directors' loan accounts and LPA/Fixed Charge Receiverships.

THE CANDIDATE:
The successful Insolvency Solicitor will have undertaken some insolvency work whilst training including personal and corporate insolvency, transactional, advisory and contentious insolvency. Alternatively, a desire to retrain (having a background in litigation, corporate or banking law). A working knowledge of the Insolvency Act 1986 and Insolvency (England and Wales) Rules 2016 is essential and training will be given where necessary as well as supported continuous learning. The successful candidate will be expected to have excellent technical, research and communication skills, as well as an enthusiasm for business development and networking. Any candidates that have majored in litigation and/or contentious insolvency work, looking to broaden their skill set to become a fully rounded Insolvency Lawyer will also be considered.
