New positions have arisen which are suitable and will appeal to qualified solicitors and chartered legal executives at newly qualified to 2 yrs. PQE. Forming part of a successful and well-structured insurance liability team in Manchester, you will be engaged in a rewarding caseload of largely EL and PL matters.
Previous experience of assisting on a litigated caseload is essential. You will be involved in all aspects of the case and typical responsibilities and duties will include investigating liability, assessing merits, quantifying loss, conducting litigation, trial preparations, and/or reaching settlement. Typical responsibilities include:
- Assessing initial instructions and liaising with insurers
- Involved in witness statements of fact and reviewing liability
- Obtaining and assessing experts and medical reports
- Reviewing claims for loss and other special damages
- Instructing counsel
- Pleadings, court applications, interim hearings, and CMCs
- Trial preparations and Part 36 offers
