Your new role
You will be working alongside the Insurance/Reinsurance Partners and be part of a larger team of Senior Associates and Associates in the firms London office, you will support the disputes team with insurance and reinsurance claims.

The Ideal Candidate
  • Qualified lawyer with 5 - 7 years' PQE;
  • Insurance/reinsurance litigation experience gained from an international practice;
  • Experience with high value, complex claims, mostly in relation to coverage issues.
The Department
The firm's insurance and reinsurance practice is recognised internationally as an industry leader. Through their integrated global network of offices, they offer a comprehensive range of dispute resolution, transactional and regulatory legal services to the insurance sector, including insurance and reinsurance companies; policyholders; captives and mutuals; brokers and other intermediaries; managing agencies and MGAs; TPAs and other service providers. Their insurance and reinsurance work is high value, likely to be complex and multi-party, and often international in nature.

They have a specialist insurance and reinsurance team of 22 partners and more than 45 lawyers. In addition, they have an extensive network of legal contacts, experts and correspondent firms whom they can mobilise, as required, worldwide.
They are motivated by their clients' desire for commercial success and, when necessary, they can do press litigation to its conclusion, committing whatever resources are required and appropriate to the task. However, their clients' aim is usually to achieve a satisfactory negotiated solution, including by using alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, and that is their preferred approach.
