Interim Cost Engineer £488pd An exciting interim opportunity to be a crucial player in this FTSE 100 Energy Organisation's energy transition initiative within Electrification, as a Senior Cost Engineer. Offering up to £488 per day (umbrella, inside IR35), this is a 12-month contract, hybrid working from home and in their office in London. This market-leader is at the forefront of its field, with true ambitions for carbon neutrality by 2050, and huge amounts of investment going into sustainable energy solutions and truly cutting-edge technology to support. The Role:You will be a key part of a fast-paced team, responsible for the delivery of cluster reporting services, ensuring effectiveness of estimating, cost management and forward-looking cost performance and comparisons. This will provide key, senior stakeholders with actionable information to influence decision-making.Be Point of Contact for Controls activity in the Cluster.Deliver Cluster Controls and ensure the Controls capability is on board.Deliver Stage Gate estimates and bases of estimate.Support development of stage gate appropriate Financial Memorandums.Prepare an integrated Cluster Control Schedule.Compile Forecast Final Cost, Cost Phasing and Variances.Ensure Change and Risk is captured.Co-ordinate quarterly financial updates.Budget releases, Purchase Orders, Journals, Accruals, and Invoicing. Requirements:10+ years experience managing Cost Engineering or Cost Control.Large-scale project experience, with complex, global companies.Broad, project experience and a strong track record of delivery.Ability to engage with and influence Senior Leadership level stakeholders.Simplification and continuous improvement mindset.Ability to produce high quality written reports and summary presentations.
