JOB SCOPE

Responsible for directing the accounting and finance functions at one site. Responsible for subordinate staff. Oversees financial analyses, budgeting forecasting and accounting procedures and compliance in an effort to meet corporate and divisional short-term and long-term financial goals and objectives. Performs accounting and controlling activities and provides management to clerical staff. Plans, organizes and directs the accounting function. Ensures the compliance of GL with statutory requirement.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Responsible for the accounting function and directs the preparation and maintenance of accounting records and reports, including the general ledger, asset inventories and various special analysis, to ensure they are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Performs Inter-company reconciliations for the preparation of month and year end reporting and consolidation.
  • Administers the activity based overhead allocation program to the plan’s cost centers and calculates the cost center data to determine overhead rates by activity for quoting purposes.
  • Develops and monitors the implementation of finance related timetables such as budget preparation, sales forecasts and departmental operation expenses.
  • Prepares and analyzes reports and statistics reflecting earnings, profits, expenses, and other financial data based on past, present, and future operations, and uses the results to formulate improvement strategies and other matters bearing on the financial soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization.
  • Ensures SOX 404 compliance
  • Monitors and approves all capital expenditures and spending requests.
  • Advises on monthly income statements with emphasis on production variances.
  • Maintains and secures the assets of the sites by ensuring an adequate system of internal controls is in place to safeguard company assets.
  • Develops, analyzes, and interprets statistical and accounting and controlling data in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the financial soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization.
  • Reviews the activities of accounting department personnel, including the posting of journal entries, payment of invoices, billing completed, contractual cost reduction obligations and all actions are appropriately recorded for tracking purposes to ensure all departmental work is completed in a timely manner.
  • Prepares tax declarations, responsible for tax questions.
  • Maintains current knowledge of US GAAP as well as Fiscal and technical techniques.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor Degree or Accounting or Controlling, Certified Accountant preferred

> 5 years

ADDITIONAL PROVEN REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • ACCA, CIMA part-qualified or qualified
  • Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP and relevant statutory accounting
  • English language skills

  • Superior oral and written communication & selling skills
