This recognition is a milestone we’re thrilled to add to our collection of awards for both experienced and student talent experiences.Our London office is looking for a full-time (37.5 hours per week) Intermediate Accountant to join the US Corporate Tax team and own the following responsibilities:Job description/duties:Assist with the preparation of year-end engagements and US corporate tax returns for our clients in a variety of industriesCompetently prepare various US foreign reporting formsEfficiently prepare US treaty-based return forms as per regulatory standardsWork with Internal Revenue Service, and state revenue agencies in order to respond to our clients’ requestsAssist Tax Managers and other team members with compliance and consulting engagementsEffectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basisBuild positive working relationships with clients and effectively respond to request and suggestionsHow do we define success for your role?You demonstrate BDO's core values through all aspect of your work: Integrity, Respect and CollaborationYou understand your client’s industry, challenges, and opportunities; clients describe you as positive, professional, and delivering high quality workYou identify, recommend, and are focused on effective service delivery to your clientsYou share in an inclusive and engaging work environment that develops, retains & attracts talentYou actively participate in the adoption of digital tools and strategies to drive an innovative workplaceYou grow your expertise through learning and professional development.Your experience and education:Have completed at least a Bachelors degree in Accounting, or other related field of studyHave completed or be pursuant of a professional designation (Canadian or US), as applicable/eligibleAt least 2-3 years of experience in the public accounting industry (experience in US Corporate Tax required for this intermediate position)Willingness to gain expertise in US Corporate TaxYou have excellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishAbility to communicate in French will be considered an assetDesire to provide outstanding client service and a commitment to teamworkYou display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skillsAt BDO, we are committed to the success of students pursuing their CPA designation.
