Job Description

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Strategically collaborate with the Group PR Strategic Communications Team and Senior Leadership across various departments to develop, plan, and implement a comprehensive and shared communications plan.
  • Report directly to the Head of Learning & Development, bringing your experience and proactive approach to defining and executing our internal communication strategy. This includes promoting success stories, and spearheading initiatives in employee engagement and wellbeing, such as the Frasers FIT program focusing on financial, physical, and mental health.
  • Take charge of the planning and execution of the Group’s Internal Community Communications strategy, ensuring consistent and impactful messaging across all branches of Frasers.
  • Partner with Senior Leaders to craft internal messages supporting business transitions or engagement activities, including narratives about people, projects, or partnerships.
  • Design and implement an integrated and compelling approach to colleague engagement with our communication channels.
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with senior stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor and representing the Learning & Communications team.
  • Offer a balanced and consistent approach to our employees, harmonising our focus on wellbeing, development, and engagement.
  • Oversee and achieve the desired outcomes and benefits as per the action plan, collaborating with enablers and stakeholders to ensure excellence in delivery.
  • Embrace and promote Frasers Group Vision and Values, fostering a workplace culture that encourages ownership, limitless thinking, and relevance.
  • Manage the Internal Communications calendar with foresight, aligning with PR and external communications to highlight key business announcements and events.
  • Create communication materials, including copywriting and mood/storyboard suggestions, to guide the graphics design team.
  • Ensure effective information flow across the business through collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Work closely with our PR Comms and People teams to maintain consistency across departments.
  • Provide insightful reporting, demonstrating a passion for data-driven impact and value.

Qualifications

  • A proven track record in shaping internal communications within a large, complex organisation, showcasing your ability to inspire and engage a diverse audience to meet strategic goals.
  • Exceptional copywriting and storytelling capabilities, with a keen eye for detail and mastery of the English language.
  • Comprehensive understanding of communication channels and relevant technologies.
  • Skilled in translating ideas into clear, actionable concepts for the graphic design team.
  • Experienced in collaborating with senior leadership and HR/People teams on people-centric messaging.
  • Highly resilient and adaptable, capable of handling ambiguity and possessing a proactive and organised mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a talent for building relationships and working collaboratively.
  • Strong multitasking and prioritisation abilities.
  • A business-savvy individual who understands company brand guidelines and effective communication strategies.

Additional Information

This role is based Monday to Friday on-site in our Shirebrook Head Office.
