The Role
The Investment Operations Data Analyst will have a very strong knowledge of Securities Data and will be responsible for maintaining the Stock File for both listed and unlisted stock products ensuring accuracy of Stock File information.
The Investment Operations Data Analyst will respond to incoming queries from the Investment Managers and Clients in a timely and professional manner.
The Investment Operations Data Analyst is to deal with the daily and monthly update of manual prices in Figaro as well as ensuring that the industrial and geographical classifications of stocks are accurately reported on the client’s portfolios.
The Investment Operations Data Analyst will monitor price movements and ensure that overnight pricing files from the data vendor and reference data have been received and populated accurately onto Figaro.
The Investment Operations Data Analyst is expected to work with the Investment Research team to make certain approved funds are correctly reported.
The Investment Operations Data Analyst will produce generation and recalculations of the composite benchmarks as well as loading new stocks as and when requested from the Front Office, Research and the Transfers team
The Investment Operations Data Analyst is to investigate any data discrepancies and act as a point of contact and subject matter expert on Securities data issues, whilst building solid working relationships with the Front Office, Data Team and all other teams within the department.
The Candidate
2-3 years Securities Data and Investment Management Industry knowledge experience of security and pricing data is essential
Competent in all MS Office products, especially Excel
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect organize and analyse and disseminate significant amounts of information accurately
Knowledge of FNZ’s Figaro system is desirable
Good working knowledge of Bloomberg and ICE is desirable
Good written communication skills
A team player with good interpersonal skills/ability to build relationships
