IT Business Analyst

Hybrid (up to 3 days per week working from home)

Manchester (M50 3SP)

Permanent

£45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience

Bonus + Benefits

Full-time - 37.5 hours per week

The Intermediate Business Analyst will support the specification and delivery of Clinics Projects. The role will work on a variety of project spanning implementation of new Innovative Services, Development of the ECommerce Platform, new Products and Services, Data Migrations and Business Integrations. This is an exciting role with an experienced core Team and larger matrix multi-disciplinary Team. Experience of Agile working in a fast-paced environment will be beneficial.

How you'll help us make health happen

The IT Business Analyst will:

  • Gather, analyse, and manage business requirements, translating requirements into solution options.
  • Liaise across BG UK IT to develop solutions through to delivery
  • Define, document and maintain relevant designs and intellectual property on a defined area of the Bupa estate
  • Protect Bupa and Customer data through the managing an agreed area of the application and data estate and resolving security issues and meeting data retention and protection standards
  • Interact with and influence colleagues and have working level contact with customers, suppliers and partners. May supervise others or make decisions which impact the work assigned to individuals or phases of projects.
  • Select appropriately from applicable standards, methods, tools and applications.
  • Clearly present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Facilitate collaboration between stakeholders who share common objectives.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role of Senior Business Analyst:
  • Strong experience of working as a business or solutions analyst with an IT or Technology focus
  • Experience of working across a broad range of technologies in a software delivery environment
  • Experienced in working in Agile methodology
  • A background working within the healthcare industry would be beneficial but is not essential, although an interest in healthcare is a must
  • Business Change experience would be beneficial to this role
  • No minimum formal qualification level required but ISEB certification or equivalent would be desirable
  • Understanding and experience of Requirements Management.
  • Self-sufficient and able to manages own time and allocations
  • Resilient in an unpredictable and demanding environment where work levels can rapidly change
  • Maintains an awareness of developing technologies and their application and takes some responsibility for driving own development.
