Job Description

A luxurious retail company based in Glasgow is looking for an experienced IT Delivery Manager who will act as a key liaison between the company stakeholders and its IT team. The candidate for this role will also handle the management and coordination of all the delivery of projects to ensure its smooth implementation. Thus, experience in efficient IT Delivery Management and Project Management is a plus!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the key liaison between IT and key business stakeholders to understand technology demands within the company. Working with IT and business functions to complete delivery of IT initiatives the business requires to achieve the agreed objectives.

  • Create a network of centre and departmental contacts and build relationships to enable best communication between centre, development and head office staff in order to manage technology initiatives across the company most effectively.

  • Act as the IT Business Partner and ambassador of technology for stakeholders to elicit business demand, manage expectations and ensure these are captured within the IT budgeting process.

  • Ensure business colleagues are aware and understand the context of IT policies and processes to ensure that overall governance strategy is adhered to.

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of delivery for projects pertaining to specific centres, or group technology initiatives being implemented.

  • Management and appropriate reporting of delivery status of initiatives to line management to ensure visibility of delivery progress, including but not limited to deliverables status, issue, risk, decision and resource management.

  • Management of all initiatives in adherence to the IT governance processes and standards set out by IT management e.g. Technical authority, Project governance, quality gates, change management and service introduction.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of Industry Standard Network Architectures

  • A well developed, practical understanding of network technologies and protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, layer 3 routing protocols, subnetting, QoS, & VLANs

  • Exposure to multi-site infrastructure support is desirable

  • Functional knowledge of operating systems, applications and utilities

  • Video Conference Deployment and networking skills

  • Exposure to an international environment is required

  • Awareness of current technical options for server, print, network, desktop, laptop, mobile computing equipment configuration and connectivity

  • Strong interpersonal and customer-oriented skills

  • Excellent organisational skills.

  • Good problem solving and analytical skills.

  • IT delivery management experience required

  • Knowledge and experience of project management methodologies (Agile and Waterfall), reporting and budget management is essential.
