JOB DESCRIPTION
Requirement for a Disaster Recovery Manager to join an independent regulator for the Public Health sector in England. The role will be responsible for managing ang maintaining the company's IT Disaster Recovery Framework. You will maintain and develop ITDR policy and work with the wider Business and Technology teams.
This is a fixed term contract until March 2024. Full remote work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Disaster Recovery Manager, you will be responsible for but not limited to:
Align the Disaster Recovery framework, strategy, plans and test schedules to support business needs.
Lead all Disaster Recovery exercises and ensuring integrity of disaster recovery procedures.
Maintain a “failure mode analysis” scenario documents.
Responsible for maintaining the critical asset list of IT services, applications, and suppliers.
Responsible for consulting with service owners and support teams to define, develop, coordinate, and manage disaster recovery plans.
Work with the Business Continuity Management team and key stakeholders to test existing and new IT services.
Prepare, communicate and measure ITDR KPIs.
Identifying IT business continuity risks and identifying the mitigation for these risks.
REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrable experience covering Business Continuity and IT Disaster Recovery processes and standards
Experience working with ISO22301
Appropriate ITIL qualifications
Significant experience in IT Disaster Recovery planning and execution within a large organisation.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the articulation of technical elements for business representatives
Demonstratable experience of complex problem solving, making recommendations, and taking into consideration variables to achieve the desired outcomes.
Membership/Certification of a body such as the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) or Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII)
Experience of working in a large and complex public sector organisation (desirable)
Azure fundamentals qualification (desirable)
