We are looking for a customer-focused and enthusiastic IT Field Engineer to operate within a wider team supporting IT devices across our clients, The Post Office, extensive retail and administrative locations.
You will be professional, well presented, a good communicator and have solid IT device knowledge, including device connectivity and imaging. Your ability to work well on your own, to take ownership and understand the customers’ needs are essential.
The role will be covering 7.5-hour weekday shifts between the hours of 08:00 – 20:00 and pre-scheduled weekend rota cover between 08:00 and 16:00.
Due to this being a field / mobile role, a full UK driving licence is essential and a company van will be supplied.
The responsibilities will include:
- and connectivity troubleshooting
- imaging and configuring
- swap outs and connectivity cabling, Wi-Fi
- installs, moves, decommissions
- stock control and asset management
- maintenance, user familiarisation and guidance
- management
- hands and eyes
- with other support teams
Essential Skills/Experience:
- experience in a similar role
- with Point of Sale devices
- with Cielo and Microsoft tablets, Lenovo / Dell Desktops and Laptops, KVM switches, Routers
- of Windows operating system and associated technologies
- of peripherals and their maintenance – printers, scanners
- SLA focused and familiar with call management products
- with support procedures, scripts, and processes
- troubleshooting skills
- of Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance would be desirable
- to gain base level security clearance – BPSS
- UK Driver’s License - Vehicle supplied
