Job Responsibilities:

The Onsite Support Analyst is responsible for serving as a desktop support expert responsible for computer hardware, software (location specific or global) and peripherals. The Onsite Support Analyst acts as the second point of escalation for the resolution of desktop or laptop related incidents, service requests and connectivity issues.

  • Provide second-line investigation and diagnosis
  • Resolve and close incidents and service requests as per IT procedures and allocated timelines
  • Escalate unresolved incidents and service requests within agreed timescales
  • Log incident and service request details per IT procedures
  • Communicate with customer regarding incident progress
  • Ensure tickets are updated at all times until issues are resolved
  • Conduct regular asset audit and maintain the asset management system
  • Deliver location assigned projects within the agreed timeline
  • Maintain meetings rooms IT equipment on healthy status
  • Assist location administrators with IT orders
  • Comply with Quality, Health, Safety and Environment policies and IT policies
  • Liaise with customers, other IT support groups and third-party providers when necessary
  • Perform staging of PCs

Qualifications:

Studying towards or has already completed a Bs in IT related degree

  • Problem solver with the capacity to engage positively with others
  • Very good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of telecommunications and networking principles relating to LAN and WAN technologies
  • Ability to acquire basic knowledge of terms and concepts associated with oilfield rigs and the Business Lines Operations
  • Ability to develop strong understanding of the standard Desktop Services setup
  • Ability to familiarize with the current Desktop and Network challenges and opportunities
  • Skilled at evaluating options and recommending solutions within the framework of the IT standards
  • Knowledge of conflict management styles or skilled at managing and transforming a situation into a resolution
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various IT teams and providers both internal and external
  • Ability to understand provider’s Schlumberger PO & non-PO processes and the internal recharge mechanism
