IT Manager – Azure/VMWare/Security – Manchester - £70k
I'm working with a sustainable brand to hire a new IT Manager. The organisation is going through a period of growth and are looking for a strong, hands on IT Manager to join a talented technology team. You'll be an able leader, with experience of managing infrastructure support professionals, but also be capable of managing a number of 3rd party suppliers. There's a team of service desk and infrastructure support engineers who look after a hybrid on-prem/cloud based infrastructure. You'll be comfortable leading teams of people with solid Windows Server, VMWare and Azure experience. You will retain strong hands on skills in these areas, as you'll be required to support the team with project work, and be critical in dealing with escalations. Security also sits underneath the remit of this role. There is an outsourced SOC for formal defensive security, but you'll be required to manage day to day cyber risks and make sure that the business works in line with cyber essentials. Peripheral technical experience of Network Security, Linux/Unix and SQL Server would be beneficial. This is a great, blended role that requires robust leadership and technical skills.
The role is paying £60-70,000 plus great benefits. You'll be required on site in Manchester (parking provided) 3 days a week.
