Job Description

Our client is a leading organisation with operations across the UK, employing over 3,000 people. They are urgently looking to take on an IT Procurement Manager to play a pivotal role within their UK business.

Key Responsibilities:

The IT Procurement Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic procurement plans that align with the company's goals and objectives. This role involves leading strategic sourcing initiatives to identify and evaluate potential vendors, assessing their capabilities, and negotiating favourable terms and pricing. Additionally, the manager will develop and implement vendor management strategies to optimise supplier relationships and drive value for the company.

The successful candidate will lead the sourcing lifecycle, including requirements gathering, RFPs, and coordination of pricing and contracting processes. They will manage commercial relationships with both new and incumbent suppliers to ensure contracts and commercial arrangements are competitively priced, robust from a risk and governance perspective, legally sound, and that service levels are established, monitored, and exceeded by suppliers. The role also requires maintaining practical knowledge of IT service agreements, licensing, and SAAS agreements, and preparing monthly reports and updates for executives. The IT Procurement Manager must prioritise and manage workload effectively and efficiently, manage buyers for both hardware and software, and work with strategic suppliers to feed into the technology roadmaps.

Experience and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in commercial negotiation and supplier management, with a track record of delivering cost savings, service improvements, and supplier innovation. They should have experience managing the entire sourcing lifecycle and a strong understanding of IT service agreements, licensing, and SAAS agreements. Proficiency in preparing reports and updates for executive-level stakeholders and the ability to manage workload effectively and efficiently are essential.

Management experience of buyers in both hardware and software is required, along with experience working with strategic suppliers to support technology roadmaps. Preferred qualifications include being MCIPS qualified, having good stakeholder management skills, experience with Microsoft license management, and managing the supply chain in a busy ICT environment.

Why Join Them?

This represents a pivotal new role within our client's UK business, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's procurement strategy and supplier relationships. You will be part of a dynamic team, working in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.
