IT Programme Delivery Lead

My Global Software & Technology client is looking for an IT Programme Delivery Lead, who will be responsible for planning and managing the implementation of a new programme.

The programme is delivering transformation across a number of key processes including Lead to Order, Project to Value, Order to Cash and Request to Resolve). This will involve implementing a new CRM (Salesforce), Finance System (NetSuite) and a number of Integrations (Boomi).

You will work closely with the programme director, sponsors, workstream leads, project team and cross functional business teams on:

  • Governance and reporting
  • Planning
  • Risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and decisions
  • Methodology
  • Change control
  • User acceptance testing
  • Cutover management

Role Responsibilities

  • Create and manage an integrated programme plan across the process, delivery and change workstream.
  • Manage delivery of programme deliverables across each workstream.
  • Conduct thorough dependency mapping exercises to identify critical interdependencies between workstreams and projects. Develop strategies to manage these dependencies effectively, mitigating risks and promoting smooth execution.
  • Manage programme risks and issues with clear mitigation plans to resolve.
  • Support programme director with providing updates to senior stakeholders and governing bodies (steering committees, operational committees etc)
  • Provide strategic guidance and thought leadership to cross-functional teams, fostering innovation and driving continuous improvement.
  • Manage delivery of key programme artifacts across all workstreams.
  • Manage the SI relationships to ensure they efficiently and reliably deliver services and systems as per the contractual agreements.
  • Manage scope and change control and provide visibility to the programme director of any impact to financials and timings to deliver.
  • Own cutover management; responsible for defining the detail of the sequence of activities (plan) needed to cutover end users to the new solution. Managing all risks an issues that may arise.

Consulting experience required ideally within a Big 4 firm


Skills & Experience

  • Experience of implementing multiple systems including CRM (Salesforce), finance (e.g. NetSuite), professional services and associated integrations (e.g. Boomi).
  • Multiple years of experience in IT programme management
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience of working in large scale IT delivering lead to order and order to cash processes.
  • Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management time management, facilitation, and organisation skills
  • Ability to be hand on and work in the detail as and when required.
