The role

Leeds Beckett University are currently seeking three ambitious and enthusiastic Project Managers/Change Managers to be part of their central PMO team. You will be leading and influencing change and be part of a team that wants to deliver and embed the new services that will directly affect the opportunities of thousands of students and staff. This is an exciting time for the University and the successful applicants will be instrumental in leading and driving the activity required to realise their ambitions.

The 3 x Project Managers/Change Managers will provide high quality project management services and deliver complex business change projects to agreed time, cost and quality criteria. You will work closely with a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders, bringing project best practice, standards and governance to the department.

The Project Managers/Change Managers will initially be engaged on the following key activities:
DDI Change Ma nager - working within the central DDI PMO team with a focus on the development and implementation of the University wide DDI engagement strategy and plan. Work will include the delivery of a programme microsite and working across the whole Programme to ensure that there is effective colleague engagement to ensure University wide visibility of the programme and its successes.

Project Manager - a key member of the programme team working within IT Services with the aim of rationalising and then replacing their on-premise infrastructure including filestore services. A significant element of this role will also be working with strategic partners to migrate services to appropriate cloud solutions (inc SAAS, PAAS and IAAS), and to ensure the embedding of an effective future operating model.
Project Manager - to lead a review of corporate and desktop applications and to then plan and lead the activities required to rationalise these services across both University professional areas and Schools. There will be a need to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and to then devise detailed implementation plans to ensure identified benefits can be realised whilst not adversely impacting the student experience.
Your profile
Experience of working within a large organisation to deliver change with experience of working across full project lifecycle.
Proven experience of championing and driving projects, delivering IT and business change, working with operational teams to embed new services.
Strong stakeholder management experience with the ability to negotiate resources and prioritise requirements with both internal IT teams and wider organisation, and communicate across a diverse audience.
Experience of prioritising workloads across multiple projects, and ability to organise time and resources effectively.
High level, proven inter-personal and communication skills are essential.
Experience of project standards, project governance, including relationship management with sponsors and influencers
A Project Management certification would be ideal.
Experience of a range of project management methodologies would be beneficial.
Higher Education experience is advantageous but not essential for the role.
