IT Recovery Specialist

Up to £41,500 + Shift Allowance (plus 15% shift allowance and 5% stand by allowance)

Location: UK (fully remote)

Our client is a leading IT service provider that offers hybrid recovery solutions to meet the evolving needs of their customers. Their recovery solutions are delivered through shared virtual platforms integrated with an extensive on-premise hardware portfolio. The team consists of multi-skilled technical analysts who provide support for multi-platform recovery environments.

Seeking a highly motivated individual to join the team as a Recovery Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day operational support to the client and its large range of customers across the UK. As a Recovery Specialist, you will be expected to provide effective communication, technical competency, and customer-facing skills to support customer's Tests & Invocations. You will also troubleshoot customer issues during testing, ensure recovery targets are met, and work collaboratively with other departments to achieve the company's common goals.

Key Responsibilities:

-Provide support to the clients recovery services customers, both remotely and at our Hounslow facility.

-Troubleshoot customer issues during testing and ensure recovery targets are met.

Perform daily tasks, such as hardware maintenance, break fixes, documentation updates, and BIOS/firmware upgrades.

-Learn and adhere to the testing lifecycle policy, delivering consistent testing services to customers.

-Assist with Invocations during and outside of normal working hours.

-Conduct meetings with customers, follow up on queries, and maintain customer runbooks.

-Collaborate with other departments to achieve company-wide objectives.

-Identify and raise contract compliance issues arising during testing.

-Image workstations and standalone systems for customer workplace suites.

-Provide support for virtualized recovery environments.

-Participate in project work to support the rollout of new product and service enhancements.

-Keep skills up to date in line with customer trends and recovery requirements.

Skills Required:

-IT literate with a good understanding of networking fundamentals.

-Knowledge of storage area networking, patching and zoning.

-Technical PC/server skills with knowledge of iLO and supporting HP/Dell.

-Experience with Windows operating systems, VMware/Hyper-V, Carbonite -Availability/Zerto, Script/Coding, and report writing skills.

-Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work on their own initiative, as well as team working.

-Flexibility to adapt to changing working hours to meet customer requirements.

-Ability to follow, create & improve procedures.
