Introduction:

Wipro is looking for an IT Risk and Controls Manager with previous experience in the design and build of IT control frameworks. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and documenting general and application controls, as well as designing control sampling and testing methodologies. This role requires a strong understanding of IT controls, risk management, and compliance.

In this role, you will be part of the Risk & Compliance Practice, serving as a trusted advisor for financial institutions in Risk & Compliance transformation, meeting the dynamic demands from global regulators and market competition. The practice focuses on offering solutions in industry-leading themes such as Financial Crime Prevention, Regulatory Change Management, GRC, ESG, Risk Management, and Regulatory Reporting.

Purpose of the Role:

This role will help design and build the IT control framework and be responsible for defining and documenting general and application controls, as well as designing control sampling and testing methodologies. This requires a strong understanding of IT controls, risk management, and compliance.

Your Responsibilities:

As the IT Risk and Controls Manager, you will be responsible for:

  1. Define and Document Controls: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for general and application controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  2. Design Control Sampling and Testing Methodologies: Create and implement effective control sampling and testing methodologies to evaluate the effectiveness of IT controls.
  3. Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate controls to mitigate risks.
  4. Control Evaluation: Perform evaluations of IT controls to ensure they are operating effectively and efficiently.
  5. Compliance Monitoring: Monitor compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  6. Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on control deficiencies, risks, and recommendations for improvement.
  7. Collaboration: Work closely with IT, audit, and compliance teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  8. Training and Awareness: Provide training and awareness programs to educate staff on IT controls and compliance requirements.

Mandatory Skills/Experience:

  1. Previous experience in IT Risk and Controls within the Risk & Compliance side of Asset Management.
  2. Analytical approach with the ability to work systematically and unsupervised.
  3. Ability to work towards tight deadlines simultaneously.
  4. Critical thinking skills with the ability to independently solve problems with data.
  5. Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage and communicate large volumes of information, including technical issues and data.
  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills to inform managers and other stakeholders of results.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Visio, and other analysis programs.
  8. Basic knowledge of programming languages, such as SQL and Python.
  9. Quantitative and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to understand new analytical concepts.
  10. Presentation skills, including public speaking and presentation creation using PowerPoint or a similar program.
  11. Detailed knowledge of IT workflows and process control software.
  12. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  13. Bachelor's degree in business, economics, accounting, or similar.
