Location: Barrow-in-Furness (Heavily Hybrid working)

Salary: £45k - £55k

My client is a well-established and forward-thinking financial company with 9 different branches located across the UK whose main goal is to improve and update its digital footprint. Another large goal for the company is to improve their customer service levels and onboarding process so they can elevate themselves above their competition.

What will I be doing?

As an IT Security Analyst, you will be tasked with suggesting, implementing, and maintaining security processes. My client is hoping for someone to run a full IT Security audit, present findings, suggest changes, manage projects, train existing staff, and ensure changes are abided by. Although you will be reporting to the IT Manager you will be given almost complete creative and technical freedom.

IT Security Analyst duties include:
Provide strategic advice to the organisation in relation to IT Security
Responsible for compliance with organisational commitments to relevant legislation
Make decisions and approve systems and security architecture prior to any contractual commitments
Review relevant aspects of the service design process, working with the project and IT management to ensure security documentation is in place.
Define roadmap for IT security controls in IT systems and advise the Head of IT on their effectiveness across the estate
Maintain designated policy documents, gaining agreement from the Head of IT, and ensure documents are updated as IT security threats evolve
Lead investigations into IT security incidents
Maintain a relationship with the National Management Centre Security Operations Centre acting on information received to protect the organisation.

Previous experience of vulnerability management
Demonstrable stakeholder management skills
Knowledge of ISO27001, NIST, or NCSC
