Role Overview:

We are seeking an IT Support Analyst to join our Blockspace team in London, focusing on enhancing our IT infrastructure. This position will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO).


Ideal for a versatile individual with a solid grounding in IT troubleshooting and a passion for user satisfaction, this role offers the opportunity to expand skills in web development and SharePoint design. Your duties will include being the initial contact for IT issues, offering on-site troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network problems, and engaging in web development and SharePoint projects. This position not only capitalizes on your existing IT expertise but also paves the way for growth into web development, SharePoint development, and DevOps engineering under the mentorship of the CTO, aligning with our commitment to professional development and technical excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

• IT Troubleshooting: Troubleshooting and resolving software, hardware, network, and cloud-based issues via phone, email, or in-person support.

• Issue Escalation: Escalating complex issues to our managed service desk or the CTO.

• Hardware Setup: Installing, configuring, and deploying IT hardware for new employees.

• Policy Adherence: Ensuring adherence to IT policies and procedures during daily operations within the office.

• Documentation Drafting: Drafting documentation to assist users in basic troubleshooting or educating users through IT how-to guides.

• SharePoint Management: Creating and administering SharePoint sites, pages, and web parts.

• Website Maintenance: Performing basic modifications and maintenance tasks on the organisation’s website or web hosting platform.

• Efficiency Improvements: Identifying basic technical projects and proactively presenting ideas that could improve efficiencies within the organisation.

• Innovation Support: Assisting the CTO in the continued research, testing, and deployment of cutting-edge applications to enhance organisational effectiveness.

• Technical Updates: Updating the CTO on the status of outstanding tickets, tasks, or priority technical projects.


Qualifications & Experience:

• 2-3 years of experience in an IT services or support role

• Candidates must hold at least an HND in IT, Computing, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline. This requirement may be substituted by possessing an equivalent level of technical certifications and prior career experience.

• Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with users

• Self-motivated and eager to develop their IT and web development skills

• An intuitive understanding of troubleshooting methodologies within IT and related fields

• Deep proficiency in the usage and troubleshooting of MacOS and Windows devices

• Experienced background in the usage or administration of O365 or M365 cloud-based productivity suites

• Proficient in resolving typical issues with networking and cloud-based technologies

• Basic knowledge of web development languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, or SQL is preferred

• Previous design or development experience in the creation of SharePoint sites, pages, or web parts is preferred

• An interest in cutting-edge technologies such as AI, cryptocurrency, or other digital innovations is preferred
