IT Support Engineer
£30k - £35k + 8% Bonus

A successful retail group are looking to recruit an End User Computing Engineer to join their growing team.
As a EUC Engineer, a successful candidate will participate in all desktop services to our clients' business areas as well as the successful delivery of new applications. In addition, the role will involve dealing with system issues as and when they occur. There is a possibility that, depending on the projects and tasks, this position may require some availability for queries both during and out of office hours. Our client operates a hybrid working model of 2 days in office per week and 3 days remote.
Skills / Environment
A suitable candidate will have experience:
Providing IT support to colleagues.
Developing and implementing automation to streamline and improve the quality of IT infrastructure build processes.
Maintaining patch levels across Windows desktop and server estate.
Installing, configuring, backing up & recovering desktop deployment tools, patch deployment tools, antivirus tools and desktop remote control tools.
Monitoring trends in data growth & performance to then propose strategies to accommodate.
Managing report creation from EUC applications and tools.
Troubleshooting and resolving IT issues.
Role Overview
The role will involve:
Active participation in the creation of desktop standard images and deployment.
Management of desktop antivirus tools and application.
Management of desktop application deployment, patching and Software Asset Management tools.
Planning and recommending enhancements to ensure that desktop management tool capacity meets current and future business requirements in a cost-effective manner.
Participation in core infrastructure projects to meet pre-defined objectives key duties and responsibilities.
Proactively looking to improve and add efficiency to current process and exercise judgment in the decision-making process to provide excellent customer experience.
Ensuring all solutions are documented and successfully transitioned into service.
Maintaining relationships with key suppliers to ensure continually high levels of service.
