Job Description

SDL Solutions Limitedis currently recruiting for anIT Support Engineerto work in a permanent/full time position based in Guildford, Surrey.
The team is responsible for supporting and developing the companies systems. The systems used areMicrosoft Windows Server 2012/2016/2019based with a mixture ofWindows 10workstations running Microsoft Office 2016/Office 365applications.
As a IT Support Engineeryou will work alongside the software development and network teams with new methodologies, deployments, and a strong grasp on automation skills. You will manage your personal and team workload and set priorities for support issues. Youll need the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and deal with escalations from the IT Helpdesk Team, escalating IT issues where necessary to IT Operations Team. You will participate in team meetings with all team members to discuss latest projects, issues, and team performance. Youll be managing cloud platforms such as Azure/Intune and virtualisation platforms such as Hyper-V, and VMWare. You will be responsible for Day-to-Day Windows server management tasks. Youll also be responsible for the setting up of laptop hardware using a range of deployment tools and user troubleshooting. You will need to ensure that agreed procedures are documented and followed within the team and to document fixes and troubleshooting techniques and then distribute this information to the network support team to improve efficiencies
As a IT Support Engineeryoull ideally be MCSA or MCSE qualified with proven experience of working in a server-based environment. Youll have a clear understanding of in-house IT processes and their importance in a business environment. Ideally, youll have experience/knowledge in PowerShell scripting and Windows desktop operating systems including version 10. Youll need to have experience working with Microsoft Office suite and a clear understanding in Active Directory. Youll be responsible for supporting and maintaining a Microsoft Office 365 based infrastructure and will also be required to analyse hardware and software malfunctions to diagnose the root cause of the issue. Youll need to be able to take ownership of tasks, use your initiative, be proactive and possess excellent time management skills
