IT Support Engineer - Financial Industry
Location: Derby
Salary: £22,000 - £27,000
I am recruiting for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join a dynamic and forward-thinking financial organisation based in Derby.
The successful candidate will join a team of IT professionals and will be responsible for providing 1st and 2nd line technical support and assistance to users in all areas of IT, with particular focus on the financial services sector.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to all users across the company, with a focus on the financial services industry.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- Install and configure hardware, software, and operating systems
- Monitor and maintain server systems
- Monitor and maintain network security
- Assist with IT security risk assessments
- Assist with IT project management
- Provide technical advice and support to users
- Liaise with third-party providers
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar IT support role
- Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, and security
- Understanding of virtualisation technologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
