The Opportunity:
We are looking for an IT Support Engineer / Infrastructure Analyst with some networking experience to be responsible for delivering infrastructure solutions across the organisation and also taking care of IT security. Main areas of work are laptops, networks, Meraki, Microsoft 365 and Azure.
The business has recently gone through a complete technology transformation to a fully cloud based environment, so it's an amazing opportunity to work with the latest technology.
The role offers a hybrid working model with one day at the office at Chorley and occasional ad hoc visits to other working sites.
The role:
Supporting ca. 800 colleagues across the company with first, second and third line software and hardware support.
Working with other team members to improve the security across companies infrastructure.
Assisting with configuration and upgrades of software and OS.
Configuring and deploying policies for network and mobile environments.
IT infrastructure projects.
Documents and document rights management
Supporting team with resolving issues and recording tickets withing the service desk software.
Prepare and maintain the documentation - this includes spreadsheets, user guides and guidelines.
The person:
In order to be considered for the role you'll need the knowledge and experience in the following areas:
The majority of Meraki, MS365, Azure, Windows10 in a Cloud AD environment
1-2 years experience within networking technology (including DHCP, switches, routers, firewalls, NAT, wireless protocols, and TCP/IP and particularly Meraki)
1-2 years experience working with Windows 10 in a Cloud AD environment.
Analytical mindset, problem solving approach
Good verbal and written communication skills
Day to day management of an ITSM Ticketing tool and associated asset data
Computer hardware building, imaging, testing, troubleshooting, and repair
Antivirus software, InTune and Autopilot
The salary for this role is ca. £32-37k
