A local Midlands authority are looking for an IT Systems support Administrator

To provide technical support for schools, both remotely and on-site. Supporting a variety of devices that support educational ICT needs
Specific Tasks for temporary technician:
Support the rollout of our Cloud server solution in schools, namely:
" Enable Bitlocker on curriculum devices as required and troubleshoot any issues relating to this.
o Re-imaging of the device(s) could be required at this stage.
o Naming and adding devices to the domain.
o Identifying any files on the device which need to be backed up before re-imaging.
o This will involve scheduling and carrying out visits to schools.
" Collect redundant servers from schools once they have been moved to the Cloud server solution. This will involve scheduling and carrying out visits to schools and returning equipment to an agreed storage location.
Assist with the maintenance of PCs and laptops in schools, namely:
" Install Windows updates on devices in schools where the version of Windows is out of date.
o If updates will not install this may require a reimage of the device.
o Identifying any files on the device which need to be backed up before re-imaging.
o This will involve scheduling and carrying out visits to schools.
" Carrying out reactive support visits where required.
Any other Systems Support Administrator duties as required
35:00 (hr:min) hours per week:
Monday: 09:00 - 17:00 (60 minute lunch)
Tuesday: 09:00 - 17:00 (60 minute lunch)
Wednesday: 09:00 - 17:00 (60 minute lunch)
Thursday: 09:00 - 17:00 (60 minute lunch)
Friday: 09:00 - 17:00 (60 minute lunch)
To start within 2 weeks
Home based and attendance at school sites across Warwickshire.
May be required to attend offices in central Warwick on occasion
