£30,000 - £35,000 per annum
Permanent role Office based role
Full time hours Monday to Friday
Commutable from York, Leeds, Wetherby, Selby or Garforth
Available on a public transport route – Free parking onsite also available.
The Role
Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are working with a well established company based on the outskirts of York who are looking for an experienced IT Systems Administrator to join their team.
You will be working in the Group IT Team where you will help maintain and support the Groups IT infrastructure and provide first and second line IT support to all areas of the business.
Duties
- Install, manage and maintain, the technical infrastructure and application systems
- Provide timely 1st and 2nd line support to all users, including offsite mobile, and overseas employees
- Maintain effective processes to manage and respond to user issues
- Ensure that the IT infrastructure security is effectively maintained to the high standards required.
- Maintain server backups in accordance with the business continuity plan
- Ensure key IT services information is documented and maintained
- Ensure software licensing compliance
- Procurement or IT equipment
- Support Group IT Manager in development of local site IT budget
- Manage expenditures within agreed budgets
- Provide appropriate business case to support planned IT spend

- Strong knowledge and experience with
- Active Directory services in a multi-site and domain environment
- Firewall Systems including an understanding of VPN services
- Microsoft Server and client operating systems (2008/2012/2016,7/10)
- Microsoft Exchange Online
- Microsoft 365
- TCP/IP network including configuration of switches and routers
- IP Phone Systems
- Virtualisation technologies (including VMWare ESXI)
- Enterprise backup solutions
- Support of Android and IOS mobile devices
- Hardware/Software troubleshooting
- SQL database administration and maintenance
knowledge of:
- CAD Applications
- PDM/ERP/CRM Applications
- Azure
