Job Description

My client, a top 200 law firm are currently in the market for an IT Technician to join their technical team on a permanent basis. You will play a critical role in maintaining and optimising our IT systems to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Your expertise in document management systems, case management systems, Office 365, and Windows will be essential in supporting our legal professionals and administrative staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot document management systems (DMS) and case management systems (CMS) to ensure they are functioning correctly and efficiently.
  • Provide technical support for Office 365 applications, including email, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and other collaboration tools.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade Windows operating systems and software applications.
  • Perform regular system updates and backups to ensure data integrity and security.
  • Assist with network maintenance and troubleshooting, including VPN setup and remote access solutions.
  • Provide end-user support and training for software applications and IT systems.
  • Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and implement new solutions.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of IT processes, configurations, and support activities.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an IT Technician or similar role within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Proficiency with document management systems (e.g., iManage, NetDocuments) and case management systems (e.g., Clio, ProLaw).
  • Strong knowledge of Office 365 applications and administration.
  • Expertise in Windows operating systems (Windows 10, Windows Server 2016/2019).
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate) are a plus.
