Job Description


Our client is looking for an experienced IT technician, to join a team of four in Rotherham.

They are looking for an individual who has a proven track record of IT support, someone that has a patient and methodical approach to problem solving and who can manage their own schedule.

You will be responsible for the higher level day to day support of a medium sized network, consisting of several Hyper-V clusters, various core and access switches, PCs, laptops, printers and other associated IT equipment.

Salary: DOE

Working hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 5:00pm and must work all home match days (includes evenings and weekends)

IT Technician Responsibilities:
Dealing with the more technical issues received into the IT Department.
Supporting the deployment of hardware, software and the ongoing maintenance of all onsite and remote information technology assets.
Supporting our employees with Windows operating systems and various applications in a face to face manor.
Hardware and software procurement.
Assisting the 1st line support technician.
Covering 1st line and 2nd line due to annual leave or sickness.
Other IT related tasks such as user training, housekeeping and office refurbishments.
The above-mentioned duties and responsibilities should be regarded as neither exclusive nor exhaustive as the post holder may be required to undertake other reasonably determined duties and responsibilities, commensurate with the grading of the post, without changing the general character of the post.

IT Technician Requirements:
Windows Desktop and Server Support
Hyper-V, GPO, AD/Azure AD, Intune, WSUS
Network cable and patch panel termination
Person-oriented approach with the ability to build a good rapport.
Excellent communication skills.
Proactive approach to IT support.
Customer service focused.
Forward thinking.
Full UK driving license.
Experience of the following would be an advantage:
SQL
Project Management
Efacs ERP system
Juniper Firewall Configuration
Aruba/Cisco Switch Configuration
