Job Description
A Junior Build and Transition Engineer, to support and coordinate requests for delivery of IT Infrastructure across the Business.
The build and transition team process requests for IT at both a server and service level. The requests vary but are mainly to build new infrastructure, move existing platforms or remove end of life products. In addition, there are requests to uplift or refresh technology platforms as new vendor offerings, geographic markets and standards become available.
You will work with requestors and all teams in the build pipeline to ensure that requests are correctly processed by each team and managed correctly within the system, driving all requests through the system to completion.
This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.
Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Keen interest in IT infrastructure or project coordination, with a previous level of experience.
- Ability to coordinate the delivery of multiple streams of work.
- Good communication skills supported by a high level of energy and persuasion.
- Ability to interact with key stakeholders of the organisation in a professional, diplomatic, and tactful manner.
- Experience participating in cross functional meetings and working teams.
- Smart thinking and can do attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment on multiple projects with independent deadlines and deliverables.
- Strong attention to detail.
Main Responsibilities
- Coordinating the planning and tracking of each delivery in order to meet the requested dates whilst keeping the requestor up to date with progress.
- Facilitating in meetings with the build pipeline teams to ensure work is actioned in a timely manner and that task updates are applied with sufficient detail to provide visibility.
- Investigating all requests held at App Install or delayed elsewhere in the pipeline and agree review schedules with the requestors and technical owners that facilitate progress.
- Following and improving internal processes to ensure accurate and consistent completion of tasks and deliveries are met.
- Ensuring operational acceptance of the build and asset into live.
