Location: Birchwood, Warrington
Role: Full-Time, Permanent (open to reduced hours)
Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm, Friday - 8:00am - 3:30pm - flexible
Salary: Dependent on candidate experience
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain positive and long-term relationships with our client's valued suppliers.
- Conduct thorough research to identify new suppliers and make recommendations to the Purchasing Manager.
- Obtain quotes for materials requested by the Sales department in line with customer RFQ.
- Evaluate quotes, negotiate prices and delivery terms to secure the best price and quality.
- Raise Purchase Orders and maintain accurate records in the Oracle MRP/ERP system.
- Track order progress to ensure timely delivery and accuracy of items and quantities.
- Update and maintain internal databases and ERP system with records of orders, deliveries, invoices, contracts, and supplier approvals.
- Identify and ensure compliance with quality standards for all products.
- Communicate any supply chain delays and risks to key stakeholders.
- Monitor inventory levels, including participating in stock take planning.
- Provide support to the Production team with efficient office operations.
- Generate inter-company purchase orders for raw materials and consumables.
Take responsibility for factory MROs and office consumables.
Essential Experience, Qualifications & Skills:
- Customer-focused with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong administration skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and Access.
- Experience with Oracle MRP/ERP systems would be beneficial.
