Junior Buyer – Apparel
Manchester
Hybrid Working + Free Parking + Salary £30k DOE.
This award winning retailer is looking for a Junior Buyer on Own Label Apparel to support their success, as part of their growing Buying team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Assistant Buyer or existing Junior Buyer to propel their Buying career and wants to help support in the tracking the direction & development from range concept to delivery.
The brand is well known in the industry and have an ever-expanding portfolio of brands and have something for everyone.
The Role
- Briefing, developing, sourcing, and buying for a product category.
- Work in collaboration with the design team to create product in line with brand image.
- Conduct market research across both Menswear and Womenswear for both UK and Europe
- Understanding of price points within the range and market, conducting cost price comparisons during development stage
- Confidently present ranges from strategy to sample review to customer meetings and final sign off.
- Work closely with merchandising and sales team reviewing data on previous ranges ensuring that new launches are meeting margin and customer expectations
- Far East trips to conduct face to face negotiations and achieve target margin on all products.
- Build solid suppliers relationships and strategize together to build solid ranges.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on new concepts and pushing ranges.
About You
- Experienced Assistant or Junior Buyer
- Understand market conditions.
- Knowledge of fabric and specifications
- Experience of working in a fast-paced office.
- Liaising with design and product development daily
