Summary: In this role the Junior Demand Planner will support the Demand Planner in UK and EU sales planning to ensure high level forecast accuracy, delivery of commercial strategies and achievement of operational goals. This role requires strong analytical skills, commercial awareness and knowledge of supply chain planning systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in building the demand plan for Europe by SKU, looking at historical sales and taking into consideration the drivers that affect demand.
- Update previous periods of sell in/sell out with actuals, matching back to financials for the region.
- Prepare sales analysis by category ahead of Demand Planning meetings, highlighting shifts in trends and the reasons behind this.
- Build holistic new product launch and animation forecasts leveraging benchmark information and considering wider implications for the category/portfolio.
- Build 12 week sell out plan by customer for new launches.
- Participate in planning meetings with Commercial and Marketing teams to assess and capture local market information that will influence demand (i.e. specific events, distribution changes, cannibalization).
- Support with analysis of Forecast Accuracy, finding out the root cause to enable methods for continuous improvement
- Help to maintain weekly sell out and stock on hand data by SKU by customer.
- Assist in ad hoc reporting and preparation of sales data for monthly meetings.
- Liase with PR on stock availability for send outs
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Planning/ Merchandising or other relevant experience within retail environment
- A genuine passion for the beauty industry is essential
- Advanced Excel Skills are essential
- Strong PowerPoint, Microsoft Office and PowerBI skills preferred
- Must have strong attention to detail, analytical, problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and perform well under pressure and multiple deadlines
