Junior Garment Technician (Kids & Loungewear)

We are currently looking for a Junior Garment Technician (Kids & Loungewear) to play a pivotal role in supporting the strategic Business Development areas within Lyle & Scott. This position is responsible for providing technical experience and a clear understanding of Kidswear and loungewear garments. Role Purpose:

  • Manage the fit & quality of all kids & Loungewear products, ensuring safeguarding and garment testing measures are adhered to.
  • Responsible for defining the block & signing off the fit of every product from the proto sample through to the pre-production sample for two collections a year.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure key milestones and deadlines are met, in line with the seasonal and company critical path.
  • Ensure the customer is the focal point for fit and quality, understanding what our customers’ needs are and how they change.
  • Ensure each product is approved for bulk production, colours/fabrics are signed off, and wash care is defined.
  • Supplier relationship management.
  • Ensure graded specs are always updated and accurate on the PLM system.


Qualifications:

  • Experience in Garment technology, apparel manufacturing and/or pattern cutting.
  • Understanding of Kidswear and/or Loungewear is preferable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels of the organisation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Working Conditions:
  • Full-time position based in the London office, with occasional travel needed.
