Junior / Middleweight Creative Brand Strategy & Insight Consultant – Brand Experience

Our client is a creative agency that partners with some of the world’s leading retailers and brands. Working across an exciting range of categories in the retail, service and innovation sectors, they help their clients define unique customer experiences.

As a key part of their strategy team you will support the strategic development of design projects. Working alongside their creative teams and with support from the senior strategy team you will gather insights and collate research to feed into the definition stage of a project, building your knowledge of retail and sector influences.

This fascinating role will suit a strong strategic thinker, naturally creative, inquisitive, with previous brand experience and a passion for innovative ideas. You’ll be a proven collaborator, curious by nature, notice the details but also enjoy the big-picture vision.
You’ll be from a creative background with a brand or experience agency experience preferable.

A flavour of your key responsibilities will include:-

Insight

  • For each client project work to define the brand, customer and sector insight to help develop the strategy.
  • Develop accurate & insightful conclusions from research that clearly articulates strategic direction.
  • Define the ‘brand ambition’ in relation to the brief.
  • Gain trust from both clients and internal teams to lead through strategy and for others to think more strategically.

Ideas

  • Define the principles of the vision, experience ideas and design language.
  • Develop content for client workshops customer journey & brainstorming sessions.
  • Work to a client’s individual tone of voice, ensuring the strategy and language used matches the brand.
  • Work in collaboration with others in the strategy team and across the design disciplines to make your and their ideas work together.

Our client feels that candidates with 2-3 years’ experience of developing strategy will fit in well with their current team structure, but they’re open to someone bringing more experience and being an especially good match. Realistic salary is £27 – £40K at the top end.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience gained in a similar Insights or Strategy role.
  • Ability to gather information, extract relevant data and apply knowledge to develop and create insights.
  • Strong strategic thinker, with proven success of developing compelling ideas/strategies.
  • Keen understanding of the elements required to define and develop a leading customer experience.
  • A desire to uncover consumer behavior to help clients connect with customers in an impactful way.
  • Analytical and creative mindset.
  •  Excellent listening skills and ability to respond to briefs accurately.
  •  High level of initiative and a proactive approach to work.
  •  Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects while meeting deadlines, often with redefined priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience in retail positioning or understanding of consumer/shopper behavior.
  • Design or agency background.
