Junior Technical Consultant - Mansfield, hybrid working (work from home 2-3 days per week)

A market leading client of ours is seeking a Junior Technical Consultant to join their Presales

and Consulting Team on a permanent basis. The client is a leader in their field; they are a globally

trusted infrastructure specialist with an excellent reputation across the industry providing managed

security/networking services, IaaS, technical consulting and much more.

This is a genuinely exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to widen their technical

and consulting knowledge within the networking and security industry and gain invaluable experience. You will be provided an abundance of training and support whilst working alongside well-established professionals utilising the best in class technologies.

In this challenging yet rewarding role, you will be responsible for undertaking presales engagements

which will include attending presales meetings/online sessions, you will also act as an arm of support for the sales team and hold responsibilities for presales requests.

Further responsibilities:

-Provide internal sales teams with recommendations regarding order and equipment specifications.

-Liase and provide support to partners/end-users

-Prepare hardware for loans, ensuring it is configured to specification

-Support the consulting team with solution designs, with the opportunity to get further exposure to more complex projects

-Attend sites when required to scope surveys and configurations of solutions

-Implement data center racking and stacking of hardware

Requirements:

-Previous experience working within a cyber security/networking/infrastructure style role

(Technical support, consulting etc.) is preferred

-Excellent communication skills with a customer focussed approach

-Any IT certifications would be highly favoured however not mandatory (CCNA, S+/N+, etc.)

Offering a competitive package; up to £24,000 PA basic plus a 10% company bonus. Further benefits

All potential candidates will be required to go through Security Clearance (minimum 5 years UK residency and background checks).

Work from home: This role would require you to be onsite for the initial training/induction period

however, there will then be flexibility to work from home (50%) permanently in the future.

Travel: You will need to be prepared to travel across the UK when required, there is also potential

for international travel for conferences and consultancy engagements!
