The role

  • Responsible for managing specific territories and overseeing specialist brands within the business.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to devise localized account plans aimed at fostering advocacy and ensuring optimal access and uptake of specialist brands.
  • Engage with stakeholders across the healthcare landscape, including payers and healthcare professionals, to ensure the availability of specialist brands within local services.
  • Review and update the value and access account plans according to the changing needs of the NHS and the local health economy.
  • Develop and execute local value propositions with clinical and payer stakeholders to create the optimal access environment for advocates to champion the use of speciality brands.
  • Overcome local obstacles to expedite access, thereby enabling extensive prescribing within key accounts.
  • Develop implementation plans to commercialise published pathways and guidelines.
  • Drive adoption of specialist brands within NHS services, ensuring their integration into local pathways, guidelines, and treatment protocols.
  • Translate insights from the NHS into actionable strategies and tactics to accelerate growth within local accounts.
  • Establish an environment conducive to unrestricted prescribing by implementing cross-functional tactics that position specialist brands early in the treatment paradigm.
  • Drive product usage throughout the healthcare economy.
  • Ensure the implementation of favourable protocols and guidelines within the local healthcare ecosystem.
  • Achieve sales targets and increase market share within assigned accounts.
  • Cultivate clinical advocates who align with the company's vision.
  • Collaborate with NHS localities to develop innovative solutions that benefit patients, the NHS, and the company alike.

The Person

  • Possesses a proactive 'can-do' attitude with a mindset of ownership, capable of working independently as well as in teams. Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and energetic.
  • Ability to communicate credibly and appropriately challenge, considering cultural differences.

Essential Experience

  • Previous experience in Key Account Management within the pharmaceutical sector
  • Degree in life sciences or a related field.
  • ABPI qualified.
  • Knowledge of Value and Market Access strategy
  • Capable of delivering accurate local forecasts and demonstrating ownership of business responsibilities.
  • Understanding and appreciation of relevant Compliance and Regulatory legislation, as well as upcoming changes
  • Experience in disease areas such as oncology, urology, immunology, and infectious diseases would be beneficial.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing MS Office and various databases for tasks such as typing, data input, updating, and reporting.
  • Experienced in effectively managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders across different levels.
  • Proficient in IT & Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel-based programs for monitoring sales, budgets, and investment returns, as well as CRM systems.
  • Valid driver’s license.
