Key Account Manager - Oncology - W Yorkshire & E Lancs

This world leading Healthcare Company is at the cutting edge of Specialist Medicine and pride themselves on a detailed understanding and rapid response to ever changing market needs.

Their product pipeline is extremely diverse and their well-established divisions cover areas including Diabetes, Oncology, Anti-Coagulants, Ophthalmology, Female Health, Neurology and Diagnostic Imaging.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Key Account Manager within their Oncology division.

The KAM is to be responsible for the production, development and implementation of the account plans across the total health economy for the Oncology portfolio. The plans will need to address any funding, capacity and access barriers and focus on service redesign.

The account plans need to demonstrate cross functional ways of working and therefore, need to be developed collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders NHS partnerships can be advanced. The KAM will take a targeted approach to customers who directly influence prescribing, funding and patient access to services.

The successful candidate is expected to possess the following skills and experience:

  • Proven track record of sales success in the pharmaceutical industry, including significant secondary care experience
  • Experience in Oncology
  • Experience within partnership working/patient pathway development is preferred (oncology experience is an advantage)
  • Business related or life sciences degree, with solid experience in a related sales or marketing function
  • Excellent communication skill (F2F and Digital) and the ability to articulate a compelling argument to gain commitment of 'call to action' close
  • Ability to simplify and communicate complex situations to remove external barriers
  • Flexibility to respond to customer needs for virtual and F2F communications, (based on customer preference)
  • Above average IT literacy, proactive and passionate about digital engagement and technology
  • Exceptional customer focus with the ability to balance customer relationships and strong business outcomes
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and demonstrate pro-activity and agility in a small cross functional team
