LAND PROJECT MANAGER (RENEWABLE ENERGY) in IRELAND

A leading multinational Independent Power Producer company (IPP) is looking for a Land Acquisition Lead for solar and wind Renewable Energy Projects to join and initiate the operations in Ireland. They have successful projects all around the world in countries such as Spain, France, Italy, UK, Poland, the US. They engage in the full management of projects to generate power from photovoltaic, csp, biomass, wind, hydroelectric. TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Main goal: As a Project Manager, you will be the first one to develop renewable energy project portfolio in the sense of acquiring land. Be responsible for identifying and assessing potential utility scale sites. Lead negotiations with landowners to secure the necessary agreements, around Ireland. Reporting directly to the Global UK Director.
- Identifying suitable lands for renewable energy sites (Wind/Solar/Battery Storage).
- Mapping and engaging relevant stakeholders for each location.
- Establishing relationships with land agents and representatives from Distribution Network Operators (DNOs).
- Negotiating and finalizing Heads of Terms agreements with landowners or their representatives.
- Collaborating with the Technical Office to submit grid applications and manage the process.
- Overseeing the legal process to secure option/lease agreements.
- Managing the planning process to obtain implementable planning consent.
- Tracking project progress and risks, providing insightful analysis and reporting to management.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Degree qualified in a planning, surveying, engineering, or environmental discipline.
- Experience: A person who has been living at least 5-10 years in Ireland. Experience in Project Management within the renewables/energy industry or within land acquisitioning.
- Languages: Bilingual level of English.
- Personal & Soft Skills: We are looking for an entrepreneur, independent, dynamic, proactive person who will enjoy negotiating with local landowners and local public administration. Excellent communication and commercial skills.
- A driving license is a must.
