Job Description
This is a full-time, permanent position for a Laser Welding Demonstrator operating within the UK, mainly in the Midlands and North of England. The position is predominantly outbound using our mobile demonstration vehicle which is based out of our Stafford showroom. The role can also include some inbound demonstrations at our Stafford showroom as well as supporting customers in setting up the equipment along with ongoing support. While this is not a sales role, it is an important customer facing role which requires a professional approach and a general understanding of customer requirements. This also includes supporting the service department as and when required, including potentially service work on site.

Bison Machinery have a very strong focus on customer service including a dedicated service team for ongoing machinery support in the field.
Purpose
To support our sales team with outbound demonstrations of Laser Welding Machines, we are looking to recruit a Laser Welding Demonstrator. Job requirements include driving our mobile demonstration vehicle to customer sites and providing full technical demonstrations of the equipment in order to support the sales process. Demonstrations will mainly be by appointment, which will be pre-booked by the sales team. The role will include answering customer questions, being aware of any other opportunities and providing feedback to the sales team. Additionally, the role may include post sale support of the laser welding machine and associated equipment.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
· Drive mobile demonstration van to customer sites
· Perform laser welding demonstrations at customer sites and in the showroom
· Acquire a detailed understanding of the product benefits and safety requirements
· Answer any technical questions from the customer
· Become familiar with the product and accessory pricing
· Answer basic pricing questions from the customer, referring back to the sales team as required
· Provide detailed feedback of the demonstration and any customer discussions to the sales team
· Proactively discuss any other customer requirements for machinery, consumables or service and refer back to the sales team
· Keep the demonstration vehicle clean, tidy and stocked with demonstration material
· Provide post-sales support to customers including setting up the equipment and ongoing trouble shooting
· Attend any training courses provided
· Any other reasonable duty as requested by the Company
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have;
· An interest in technical products and the ability to explain them to others
· Aptitude for practically demonstrating machinery
· Experience of arc welding or other welding process
· A professional manner and the ability to confidently discuss products and basic pricing
· The relevant skills required in order to provide ongoing technical support to the customer
· Enthusiasm and self-motivation with the ability to work under pressure
· Ability to communicate well in all situations and at all levels of an organisation
· A current clean driving licence for a car/van
