Where does the role sit within Lloyds Banking Group?
In the Payments Services Platform, our mission is to provide compliant and efficient payments capabilities for the Group and drive innovation to enable customers to move money confidently, quickly and securely. The Payments Services Platform sits within Business & Commercial Banking and plays a critical role in providing services across the whole Group.
What would I focus on as a Lead Business Analyst?
Leading the team, you'll use your skills and experience to deliver the highest quality business analysis outputs and artefacts whilst continually challenging, motivating, mentoring, and supporting the team. Examples of which include:
- Producing detailed scope and requirements to allow platform teams to accurately develop technical solutions required to meet the objectives of the outcome.
- Working with Business Design colleagues to identify and deliver any supporting business processes required to complement the technical changes.
- Collaborating with the Product Owner to proactively handle the scope and delivery of the outcome objectives using tools such as Jira and Confluence.

- Make sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems, such as major connections, linkages, and interdependencies in systematic data. Ensures the organisation has reliable ways to capture the needed information.
- Work independently and provides guidance and training to others to analyse customer data and gather insight to ensure we provide customers with the right solutions that fit their needs
- Operate effectively, even when things are not certain, or the way forward is not clear. For example, remaining calm and providing direction, looking for opportunities in ambiguous situations, handling the stress of change, and taking steps to help others manage organisational transitions.
- Develop and deliver communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences and their teams.
Lead the analysis of an outcome and help to shape the Scope and Requirements from inception through design, build and test and into delivery.
- Produce detailed scope and requirements to allow platform teams to accurately develop technical solutions required to meet the objectives of the outcome.
- Work with Business Design colleagues to identify and deliver any supporting business processes required to complement the technical changes.
- Work with the Product Owner to proactively manage the scope and delivery of the outcome objectives using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Manage and lead a team of Business Analysts providing support, guidance, and domain expertise to aid the development of the team
