Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Civil Engineering Lead to join our clients' team in Warrington on either a contract or permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading and delivering civil engineering projects, including highways, drainage, street works, public works, and utilities coordination/diversion of services. The role entails working on a key project in the nuclear sector with a focus on sustainable urban drainage systems (SUDS) and seismic design for waste storage/processing plants. The Role:Lead and manage the design and detailing of highways, drainage, street works, and public works projectsCoordinate utilities diversion of services and building drainageUtilise BIM packages for project design and deliveryPrepare and review deliverables for early-stage assessments and HAZOPsProvide expertise in seismic design requirements for waste storage/processing plantsCollaborate with the team to oversee the structural aspects of underground/above ground service diversionsYou will need:Degree in Civil Engineering (BEng or MEng)Chartership Membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers and/or the Institution of Structural EngineersProven experience in civil engineering design and detailingKnowledge of seismic design requirements for waste storage/processing plant is beneficialFamiliarity with BIM packages and their applicationsStrong understanding of early-stage project assessments and HAZOPsAbility to lead, mentor, and work collaboratively within a team environmentExcellent communication and project management skillsPrevious nuclear experience is NOT a prerequisite for this roleWhat's in it for you?:Competitive hourly rate / annual salary dependent on experienceHybrid working (2-3 days in the office per week)Opportunity to get into the nuclear sectorLong term workThe NRL Group connect global engineering companies with the right people to bring their projects to life.
