The Role

As our next Lead Concept Artist,you'll relish the opportunity to develop and grow a team of talented artists with your ability to communicate effectively, willingness to handle challenging situations, and ability to delegate responsibilities with excellent organisational & time management skills.

You will be accountable for supporting the wider Art teams and Art Directors to fulfil the project's artistic direction and production timelines, as well as guiding the team through tasks including the creation of both conceptual and illustrative art in areas such as environments and characters. You can see the bigger picture and understand why it's important to be the main point of contact between your team and production to efficiently delegate appropriate tasks for the benefit of the project.

You also champion the voice of your colleagues, not afraid to innovate and bring ideas to life. What you'll bring

  • Demonstrable experience of team management, including mentorship, team building and career development.
  • A portfolio demonstrating your artistic abilities within Concept Art across multiple areas including environments and characters.
  • Knowledge and understanding of industry standard art pipelines and tools such as Photoshop, Blender/Maya, Zbrush etc.
  • Ability to adapt and effectively communicate using different styles when working with team members across the world with various cultural backgrounds.
  • Good knowledge of scheduling and project management tools and techniques (E.g. Perforce, JIRA, Confluence etc).
  • Exemplary written, interpersonal and communication skills.
