Lead Database Administrator - FinTech - £100K+
Our client is a growing FinTech, building the next generation of finance products, real-time apps and payments platforms.
In central London with flexible working, they’re looking for a Lead / Principal-level DBA with strong SQL Server experience and a good knowledge of (AWS) Cloud.
You’ll be the lead DBA and be able to own the database solution in a fast-paced FinTech and start-up environment - Taking the lead in driving the design, support and performance of database and Cloud solutions.
You’ll define database best practices, performance tuning and engineering, automation and even security – A varied and key role for a DBA expert at a growing financial technology firm!
You’ll also be key in the drive towards more Cloud, AWS Aurora and RedShift usage and the build out of these technologies.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server admin and engineering
- Proven all-round database skills
- Good cloud experience with AWS
- Knowledge of RedShift and / or Aurora is ideal
- Experience of live transactional systems and / or live consumer products is highly beneficial
- Solid knowledge of database security
