Nixor are proud to be working with one of the worlds leading Automotive brands, who have an opportunity for an experienced Lead Developer to join their team, on a long term contract.
About
The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-skilled product team, working collaboratively with other skilled engineers, designers and testers, building a suite of applications/products that drives the enterprise data for Vehicle/Product Configurators, whether they are online, in dealerships, on mobile apps or anywhere else.
This product is seen by the brand as key part of their e-Commerce operations going forward, and as such all projects will be heavily invested in. This also means the contract will likely run well beyond a 12m-24m timeframe.
As Platform Lead you will have responsibility for the helping to guide the development approach and provide technical assurance on complex IT projects. You will also use your knowledge of software engineering to support the professional development of less experienced software engineers.
All products are built using Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and are Micro-services/Micro-UI based (Pivotal Cloud Foundry/ Spring/ Angular) so knowledge of these and usual DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines is highly advantageous.
Tech/Skills required
Java 8+
Micro-services, cloud architecture (Azure, AWS, Kubernetes)
Architecture qualifications (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman)
TDD, OOP
Experience working in an Agile environment
Some web-services framework experience - i.e Spring
SQL/SQL Server
