Job Title: Lead Health & Safety
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + Car Allowance

D7 Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading health and safety consultancy based in Leeds. We are seeking a dynamic Lead Health & Safety Consultant to join their team. This role offers a unique opportunity to manage a portfolio of projects, oversee other consultants, and develop key stakeholder relationships from conception to completion. The goal is to provide clients with a bespoke experience, ensuring services are tailored to their needs.
Responsibilities:
- Client Engagement: Understand clients’ specific needs by working closely with them to develop tailored packages of work.
- Presentations and Reports: Write and deliver presentations to clients, undertake audits, and produce professional reports.
- Advisory Role: Advise clients on health and safety matters in a professional and pragmatic manner.
- Business Development: Identify opportunities for further business, ensuring clients are aware of all available services.
- Relationship Management: Maintain and build excellent working relationships with current clients.
- Networking: Leverage your personal network and explore new business opportunities.
- Team Leadership: Manage and support other team members, sharing knowledge and expertise.
- New Work Acquisition: Passionately promote the consultancy’s services and secure new work opportunities.
- Flexibility: Adapt to changing and demanding environments with flexibility.
- Team Collaboration: Be a positive, cooperative team member, willing to go the extra mile.
- Project Involvement: Participate in project work or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Additional Duties: Undertake any reasonable requests made by Directors and Managers.
Requirements:
- Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent Level 3 Health and Safety Qualifications.
- Previous experience in consultancy or leadership roles within manufacturing or construction environments.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage time effectively and take direction.
- Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office.
- Clear and engaging communicator, able to interact with individuals at all levels.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, demanding environment and enjoys resolving conflicts.
- Skilled in taking on difficult challenges and problem-solving.
- Patient, level-headed, and able to remain calm under pressure.
- Focused with a strong attention to detail.
- Able to react quickly and efficiently to changing demands and requirements.
- Motivated and driven.
- Understanding of CDM 2015, COSHH, LOLER, PUWER, RIDDOR, Work at Height, Manual Handling, and Welfare.
