Our people are at the heart of our purpose to advance aviation and keep the skies safe.Job Overview:To manage a Human Factors programme of work within the Training arena.

The post holder will be accountable for ensuring each project under their programme is delivered to time, cost, quality, scope whilst balancing resource constraints and customer needs. The post holder will be required to work closely with other technical peers.Duties include but not limited to:Lead a technical team in delivering agreed HF plans of workHelping customers understand and express their needs and project benefitsEnsure planning accurately reflects work in their programme.Ensure HF programme is supporting business goals and customer requirementsDrive continuous improvements for the delivery of Human Factors work and proactively seeking to create efficienciesLead by example and continuously look for improvements in how HF work is managed and delivered, whilst adhering to NATS processesChampioning the HF team both internally and externally and building extended networkCoach and mentor more junior team members ensuring adequate succession plans exist and are implemented.Complete assigned tasks within agreed timescales, to the required level of quality and to the satisfaction of the relevant task manager or team lead. This includes carrying out or reviewing scientific, technical or data analysis, drawing technical conclusions and contributing to customer deliverables.Qualification/Skills:Qualification on Human Factors, Occupational Psychology, Ergonomics or similar.Chartered or able to demonstrate working towards chartership.Proven ability to work autonomously and influence change within mixed discipline teams.Proven ability to lead projects and deliver and implement solutions to time scales and customer satisfactionDemonstrable commercial acumen and experience in delivering to both internal and external customers.Proven substantive track record of working in Human Factors in safety critical industries or equivalent academic backgroundComfortable working with ambiguity and uncertainty, can quickly assimilate unfamiliar information, and provide sound advice aligned with Human Factors regulations, standards.In particular we encourage applicants with experience and expertise in at least 3 of the following:Job analysisRecruitment and selectionCompetency-based training development and implementationTraining methodologiesTraining improvementTraining needs analysisAdditional Info:This role is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract and there may possibly be an opportunity to go permanent.In addition to a competitive salary that’s regularly reviewed, NATS offers an excellent range of benefits which includes a company performance related pay scheme, voluntary benefits and retail discounts, generous leave entitlement and a market-leading defined contribution pension scheme.
