Lead Machine Learning Engineer
Lead Machine Learning Engineer required to join a (very) well-funded, remote-first, sustainability finance startup, which unlocks affordable funding to help sustainability and circular economy business to scale. Your responsibilities will include:
- Sole Lead ML Engineer reporting to founders
- Ownership of ML product
- Building the data predictive models and ML algorithms
- Working with large and complex datasets from various sources, such as IoT sensors, financial data, and customer feedback
- Using GCP cloud services to design, develop, and deploy data solutions that meet the needs of stakeholders
- Using Pandas/Python on Databricks and other programming languages to write high-quality code, perform data cleansing, transformation, and validation, and implement best practices for data quality and governance
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- At least 4 years of experience as a Data Scientist or ML / Data Engineer or a similar role
- Predictive modelling and Algorithm Development
- NLP knowledge (LLMs ideal but not essential)
- Financial risk experience, such as leasing risk, credit risk etc
- Proficient in GCP, but AWS also ok
- ETL pipeline knowledge
- Broad Data Engineering skillset from Databricks, to Spark / Hadoop, to Airflow / Fivetran, and other streaming tools
- Proficient in Python (pandas)
- Have owned a Data Science/ML Product before (preferable)
