Are you a skilled and experienced mechanical design engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to lead cutting-edge nuclear new build projects? Our client, a leading engineering firm based in Bristol, is seeking a talented individual to join their team as Lead Mechanical Design Engineer. As part of this role, you will lead and be part of a team working on innovative designs that shape the future of sustainable energy.
What you’ll be doing:
- all stages of mechanical design from concept through detailed construction drawing production
- technical aspects during project meetings with clients
- compliance with industry standards and regulations
- multidisciplinary teams including engineers, designers & drafters
Skills, experience and qualifications you'll need:
- bachelor's degree or equivalent education experience within relevant field.
- working within civil nuclear or marine nuclear projects is essential
- vessel and heat exchanger experience
- user knowledge using SolidWorks, AutoCAD and SmartPlant.
- also need experience of ASME and FEA.
